Here are some pictures of my companion. One in front of a really big shirt, one at an American restaurant.

As promised, the pictures from the car rally.

Things are going good.

Elder Caruso (my new companion) is a nice guy. He never gets too worked up when plans don't work and he helps keep things under control. We get along super well. His English is better than mine as I've told you he has an American accent. He has a Facebook account because he served in the digital zone before he came to Croydon. His name is Otavio.

I don't think we are teaching any English people. I think Alex is English. It's hard to find English people in England. I wish I was a language expert. We have an Italian investigator so it's nice to have an Italian companion.

You asked how many times a day we pray. We pray more than 7 times a day. Never less. The number 1 thing we pray about is probably our investigators.

There was one time we stopped a guy on the street and he was Spanish and didn't speak hardly any English. Suddenly Elder Caruso started talking Spanish with him. Afterward Elder Caruso said "I don't know where that Spanish came from." He knows some Spanish but not much. there was another experience involving Elder Johnson that I was going to share in a letter (if I ever get one written).

It has not yet snowed here. Sound's like you got some pretty nasty weather over there.

The bad weather they have been having in this parts of the world haven't been effecting me. It hasn't been windy at all where I am. I haven't seen any wind damage or anything. We only had one "windy" day that I can remember and it was like a regular day in Lethbridge.

I just finished a letter today. I'm sending it to you some time today. I did get a letter from brother Cook. I may wright a brief letter to send to him but that last letter I wrote took me too long to wright. I don't have a whole lot of time but I'll see what I can do.

I have not seen any Church billboards or advertisements at all since I got here. I think that ended before I got here. I've seen a lot of "Book of Mormon Musicale" advertisements on buses. That's from South Park though, not from the church.

The work here is slowing down a bit as everyone is busy preparing for Christmas but we're still working hard. We will be going to the temple on the 19th for a Christmas dinner and a session so I'm pretty exited for that. Can't wait to talk to you then. Merry Christmas

This is a picture with Alex, my barber! He is doing so well! This is on the 27th of October, 1 day after my b-day. His daughter is Sophia and the man in the suit is my bishop.

Land of Canada

Hello all you family and friendly people of the land of Canada.

We still haven't seen any snow yet but I feel Christmas coming. I just got a call this morning from the office saying I got a package! I will probably get it at the missionary Christmas conference. Glad you all enjoyed the pictures I sent. I haven't taken any this week but I've got some pictures from the antique car rally (from London to Brighton I think) that I didn't have time to send you last week. I will send those next week. The picture of Shawn Bradley doesn't even do him justice. He looks taller in person. Good to see that dad is busy. The house will probably be unrecognizable by the time I come home. Busy days are usually the best. I do have sort of a letter written but I need the time to re-wright it and finish it off. We never seem to be able to set aside time for writing letters. I do have a journal but I suck at writing in it. Eventually you will get a letter from me. Well I am running out of time so I will end there. Have a good week.

Another attempt

My room looks pretty good! (Alysa spent a few hours giving Brandon's room a clean job and makeover and took a picture and sent it to him) I don't see my tree painting where I left it. Did you put it up in the house somewhere?

I knew about Guy Fawkes day but I've never seen so many fireworks in one month. Every single night all night long.

Why didn't Justin dress up? That's a disappointment. I didn't have a Halloween but that's okay.

I knew about Camille's Peter Pan play before I came here. Too bad I had to miss it. I finally got a usb cord to send pictures and it doesn't work. you may forget what I look like. (He then got his new companion who has a USB cable. Now I will attempt to add the pictures that didn't show up in the last post. I think i have it beet.

Picture is worth a hundred words

More news from the great UK. The emails aren't getting any longer but this time it comes with pictures.

Hi people. I have exactly 23 minuets left of emailing and lots to mention so here we go. It rains allot over here but never very hard. I heard there is supposed to be snow this week. I don't understand why you still haven't got a crossbow yet. I'm glad to hear Brittany is preparing for a mission and Justin is preparing for a zombie outbreak. I can't wait for Christmas. The baptism went great! His name is Dennis Fernando if I haven't mentioned it before. I meant to send you a letter telling you more about him and some other people but haven't had the time! Maybe today I'll wright one. My new companion is Elder Caruso. He has been out for 7 months now and his English is better than mine. He was taught English by missionarys before he came on his mission and he has an American accent. I can finally send all my pictures because my companion has a usb cord. I will send pictures now in some separate emails.

Alex the barber. He gave me a free shave.

New Companion

Transfers is Wednesday and I'm not moving but my companion is so I get a new companion. I'm still in Croydon and mailing addresses are the same. My new companion will be Italian. Because of transfers we don't have p-day today so I don't have any time to read e-mails or e-mail anyone so you'll hear from me next week.

Note from editor:  Just a reminder to all that for Christmas. Presents need to be sent to the Mission Home address with "Christmas Present" marked on it and the mission home will get it to them.

Fire Works

I wanted to send you more pictures today and I was going to buy a usb cord for my camera this morning but all the stores were closed and our computers were already booked for 11:30 so no pictures this week. There was a big car rally that went through Croydon Sunday morning so we saw  lots of really old 19th century cars and I got some pictures while we were waiting for the bus to church. You'll get some pictures next week.

I started a letter last week but didn't have time to finish it and we're only allowed to wright letters on p-day so maybe I'll finish it today if I have time. We really don't have time for anything. P-day really isn't a day off.

Alex is doing really good. He's still clean. We visit him every day now at his shop.

People here really like their fireworks. This past week there have been fireworks every night all over the city. And not just cheap fireworks but full on shoes! Every night sounds like we live in a battlefield.

We have a baptism planned for the 17th but he needs to give up smoking before then. His name is Dennis.

Well I'm running out of time so talk to you next week.

A letter to Britt who Brandon is encouraging to go on a mission. This is Brandon telling her about his decision to go:

"One thing that helped me was thinking about what my future would be like if I didn't go on a mission and comparing it to the blessings I would receive from going. I didn't want to regret not going and knew I wouldn't regret going.  Missionary life is not what you expect it to be. You get past your fears pretty fast. I know you will love it. Especially the MTC (if it's as good as the one I went to). I know you will go on a mission, you just need to hurry up and make the decision."
