last Post

Hello, this week is super busy. Especially with getting my passport
all figured out. All is good now though; the temporary passport came
in. I couldn't email last week because we were too busy in London at
the Canadian embassy. I'm not sure if I even had a chance to tell you
about Kate's baptism. It went really well. She's doing really well. We
lost contact with Ronny but now we know why; he's got a girlfriend now
so he's too busy to see us. Elder Westra is leaving the area as well
and we are not being replaced so the sisters in Hastings will be
taking over all our investigators. They will be super busy. I'm at the
temple right now getting my luggage ready for tomorrow. We have a busy
day today. I'll send you a picture of our schedule so I don't have to
type it. I don't have much time to email now. I can't wait to see you
all again. It's sad to leave and say good buy to everyone here. I'll
miss this place. I had a good mission and I'm grateful for the time I
spent here and for the people I've met and the learning experiences.
But I also look forward to coming home. See you soon!

BBQ on the beach

I'm sorry I didn't get this letter sent to you on Monday, we didn't have time for emailing. We didn't even have time to do shopping. We've been very busy lately. Kate's baptism is coming up and she's ready for it. We're excited for her. We haven't seen or heard from Ronny this week. He kind of disappeared. Regarding my flight, I didn't request Lethbridge but I called the office and canceled that flight so you can pick me up in Calgary at 1:30 on the 22nd. We had our BBQ on the beach with the district, it turned out quite nice. I've put together a short letter for the ward so I'll send that in a separate email. Talk to you all next week
Elder Fisher

Hello everyone in the Claresholm ward. I'm just finishing up my mission and for some reason it's the most busy transfer I've had in a long time. We have a baptism coming up next week that we're getting ready for. So far everything is coming along very well. We're meeting with a lot of interesting people. I am currently serving in Bexhill which is right on the coast of the English Channel. I've really enjoyed my mission and have really learned a lot. I have definitely learned how the Atonement works for us all and what it truly means. I look forward to seeing you all again. "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;" -D&C 18: 10, and “After all that has been said, the greatest and most important duty is to preach the Gospel” -Joseph Smith. See you all soon!

Met him at the Tip

Hello everyone. Hope you're enjoying the heat. This transfer has been
very busy so far. We had zone training this last week and we've got
zone conference coming up this week with our new mission president.
His name is President Gubler. President Millar is leaving tomorrow. He
was a very good mission president. We picked up a new investigator
last week. We met him at the tip where he works (the dump). His name
is Ronny. He was taught by missionaries before and he recognized us
when we were helping a member take some rubbish there where he works.
We've met him in his house a couple of times and he's a really nice
guy. He has a really nice flat with lots of cool stuff and you
wouldn't guess that most of his stuff including his furniture and his
TV and cooker all came from the tip (the dump) where he works. He
wants to be baptized but the only thing that is stopping him is that
he can't get time off work Sundays. He's said that he has tried
but his boss just won't let him. Kate is still doing good. So far
there are no concerns and she's happier than ever. We're worried a lot
of people will be away for her baptism. Hopefully there will be a good
turn-up there to support her. She's doing good though. We just need to
finish teaching her everything and she'll be ready. So dad I'd like to
know how you got your swords home from your mission. Did you post
them? I'll speak to you next week and try to get a letter put together
for the ward.
